Cast, Catch & Conserve: Beginner Angler Program
Discover the excitement of freshwater fishing at Lake Louisa State Park! Our Guided Fishing Clinic is a fun, hands-on program that introduces anglers of all ages to the fundamentals of fishing, while building a lifelong appreciation for Florida’s natural resources.
Knowledgeable instructors teach participants how to identify common freshwater fish, assemble fishing gear, tie basic knots, bait a hook, cast safely and reel in a fish with confidence. Along the way, you’ll explore the ecosystems of Lake Louisa, Hammond Lake and Dixie Lake and learn about fish habitat, aquatic wildlife and conservation. Every participant receives an Angler Certificate of Completion.
