A Private Horseback Ride for Your Group

Round up your friends for a private VIP ride at Lake Louisa State Park. Two experienced wranglers lead your group alone, so they can tailor the ride to your group’s skills, from a special trail route to extra photo stops. Private rides are a favorite for proposals, birthdays, family outings and friends’ get-togethers.

Like all of our guided trail rides, this is a walking-only ride, suitable for every experience level, including first-time riders. Rides are available 365 days a year.

Choose Your Ride

• 1 Hour Private Ride – $500
• 2 Hour Private Ride – $1,000
• 4 Hour Private Ride – $1,750, includes a picnic lunch

Private rides include up to 6 riders. Additional riders can be added for a per-person fee, depending on how many young children are in your group. Please call us at (352) 503-4489 to plan a larger group.

Lunch on the 4 Hour Ride

The 4 hour ride stops for a picnic lunch after crossing the Big Creek bridge, with your choice of a turkey, ham or veggie sandwich, plus fresh fruit, water and Gatorade. We can accommodate most dietary restrictions, and a lead wrangler will contact you after you book to go over lunch choices. The 1 and 2 hour rides do not include food or drinks.

What to Expect

• Arrive 30 minutes before your ride for check-in and the safety briefing
• 50, 110 or 220 minutes on the trails
• About 20 minutes after the ride for photos, dismounting and farewells

Good to Know

• Riders must be at least 8 years old and meet our height and weight requirements, which are shown when you book.
• Horses, riding helmets and all equipment are provided.
• State park admission ($5 per vehicle) is paid at the park entrance and is not included.
• Refundable up to 10 days before your ride; you may reschedule up to 3 days before.
