Overview of Facility

We are a 7-day per week facility that offers guided horseback trail rides to the public, private and group lessons, and pasture boarding services. 

General Requirements

Candidates must be at least 25 years old. In addition to meeting the requirements listed in the job description below, a confident, competent riding skill level is necessary; riding style or discipline does not matter. 


Further, candidates must possess leadership qualities and skills equivalent to the position and services offered. 

Rate

Starting rate is between $15.00-$16.50/hr. Raises and advancements available based on performance. 


Quarterly bonus based on budget goals. 


Position accepts tips.

Job Description

  

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: To provide exceptional customer service at all times, while assisting the General Manager with a wide range of tasks and assignments, including but not limited to equine health and well-being, the smooth operation of public trail rides, boarding services, special events, youth programs, and ensuring safe and quality interpretive experiences. The Barn Manager is able to pleasantly manage a flexible and ever-changing list of duties and responsibilities in typical outdoor Florida weather, while upholding the P3 philosophy. 


DUTIES:

· Fulfill the Job Description of a Lead Wrangler 5 days per week. 

· Set a clear standard for the Wrangler staff through exemplary performance and attitude. 

· Demonstrate leadership qualities of integrity, goal achievement, ability to motivate, innovation, and collaboration. 

· Train new staff members. 

· Direct Hitching Post staff for daily, weekly, quarterly, and semi-annual tasks. 

· Facilitate team processes by working collaboratively with the team to ensure completion of tasks effectively and efficiently. 

· Maintain good working relationships. 

· Coordinate with leadership and staff members on goals, priorities, team needs, and achievements. 

· Oversee equine nutrition and feed schedule by observing and collaborating on equine body condition and performance, make adjustments to feed and care schedules, and prepare feed orders.

· Direct the overall care routine by observing the physical and mental health of each horse and making adjustments to care, grooming (Groom Horse Assignments), and work routines.

· Contribute to and maintain the Enrichment Program contents. Assign and/or execute enrichment activities based on each horses’ changing needs. 

· Assist with veterinary, farrier, dental and other well-being scheduling and procedures. 

· Oversee the care and notes logs. 

· Maintain horse work logs, and important notes section. 

· Complete Boarder Billing Schedules. 

· Make adjustments to feed and supply delivery orders. 

· Adhere to the established monthly budgets. 

· Participate on the Safety Committee

· Participate in planning and execution of all Equine related events. 

· Assist with and/or direct facility maintenance and fence repair.

· Assist with and/or direct mowing and weed control.

· Clean water troughs, reposition stall mats, clean tack, clean stalls, and other repair and maintenance tasks.
