COVID-19 Re-Opening Update

The Phased Re-Opening Plan:

We are very excited to be back in our favorite place doing our favorite things!

As we go about finding our new normal, we are very carefully planning and preparing to offer all of our services in the safest possible way. Here is the currently planned re-opening schedule:

5/7/20- Park opens for day-use from the hours of 8:00am-sundown. Trails, playground, restrooms, and self-guided activities are all available.

5/11/20- All activities EXCEPT camping open. Guided horseback trail rides, kayak, canoe, SUP, and bike rentals are all available. We strongly encourage advance reservations.

5/16/20- All camping accommodations open. If you are itching for fresh air and new scenery, book one of the CareFree Campsites early... Just enough luxury and all the fresh air you can ask for!

Social Distancing & Protective Measures:

In Buildings: We are only allowing one visitor at a time in any building, such as the Ranger Station or Camper Canteen. If you enter a building and someone is already being helped, please step outside until they are done.

Payments & Rentals: We STRONGLY encourage you to reserve your activities in advance by calling or making a reservation online. Our in person process will be slower than usual, and we will have less equipment available during this time.

PPE: Our staff will be wearing a little extra personal protective equipment, like gloves and face masks, and we ask you to consider doing the same. Additionally, we will have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use at specific tour locations.

We can't wait to see you!- from 6 feet away, of course ;-)

New Cleaning & Sanitizing Routine

We have planned and implemented a strict cleaning and sanitation routine to ensure we are doing our part in keeping everyone healthy. You may notice during your visit that one of our service locations is momentarily pausing customer service in order to clean and sanitize equipment and other high-touch point places. Don't worry, this usually only take a few minutes, and then we will happily return to assist you.

Adapting as a Small Business

P3 Lake Louisa, the official concessionaire for Lake Louisa State Park, is a locally owned and operated small business. Like so many other businesses, closing our doors completely for an extended  period of time was a challenging for the business, and even more so for the employees who earn a living here. While we fully supported closing for the overall well-being of our friends, family, and community, it is time to re-bound with energy, enthusiasm, and a stronger determination than ever to thrive.

If you would like to stay connected, spend more time in the park, and support a local business, take a look at two awesome ways to enjoy the park and support P3!
